Here's how you revert back. If you captured the old zusb, then just do the same procedure but choose the old zusb. If you don't know the old zusb, do this...

Open Winkfp
- F1 comfort mode
- F3 update zusb
- select gke215
- F8 done
- F4 special
- F1 read uif

if the transmission thinks that the pressure is not within range to perform a shift that quickly, it will slow it down as not to cause clutch pack wear. it has to learn the adaption from how the transmission behaves, and the alpina flash clears all the old adaptions, so it needs to relearn, and the shift speeds will slow down unless the valve body is in primo condition

Do you have the flash on your car, and how did that other experiment go?

Yeah but he said S and M modes 3 to 4 shift was fine, so something screwy is going on. His problem is in D at I assume much lower TQ level.

yes i do have the flash, it works great, the damage protection i am talking about is not specific to the flash, rather it is inherent in the EGS software

other experiment has not happened yet

if i am not mistaken, the transmission fluid pressure is generated by input shaft rpm, so at lower revs, it may exacerbate the issue

Flashed back to stock and the problem still persists. Looks like its a hardware thing and not a software issue after all. Going to take my car in and have them take a look at the tranny. Big thanks to cn555ic for all the help.

Love the flash, but I feel the shift from 2-3 at high rpm's is harsh? Is anyone else getting that? It could be just because the trans just shift so fast at lower speeds? Kind of reminds me of shifts in an e46 m3 smg.

I would never go back to stock either but everyone has their own opinions on what they like!
