TSA Pre-Check

I'm sure all of us have traveled over the last 10 years and have gotten the proverbial grope. I just want to advise everyone, register for TSA Pre-Check. You do it all online and when you're able to go through the TSA Pre-Check, it's like f'ing royalty. You throw your bags on the conveyer belt and walk through...done.

It's attached to specific participating airlines. I fly United and began the prescreening process through their website. United, in turn, notifies the TSA, which began the process. You can also qualify by going through the Global Entry Program process.

I'm authorized to carry a firearm whenever I fly so I get to bypass the regular screening process, but I do recommend TSA's Pre-Check if you're eligible as it usually means a smoother process. Just keep in mind that it isn't guaranteed and you should still show up early for your flight.

Is secret agent. And since you've asked, he will now have to kill you.

This is true. I fly out of Denver, which they have an entirely separate entrance setup for Pre-Check vs. being directed to the Pre-Check once you get to the TSA agent checkpoint.

I suppose with it being random at some airports, I still may get to enjoy the periodic nut grab.

Did you forego a GOES account & entry into a CBP Trusted Traveler program? I'm guessing the latter since it seems you can flat out apply via United.com.

Does anyone know how one knows if they're approved for Pre Check? There is a statement on United's site saying once you apply you'll receive no communication from United or TSA about your status.

This has been a travel heavy year so far and I'm anticipating another bout later this year.

I did apply for GOES as well, but independant of filing with Untied for Pre-Check. I was notified by the TSA agent when going through security. They said, "you're approved to use the Pre-Check line".

Nawe, it's more fun when you show up with a cuke in your pants. "He's good!" Hahahaha.
