Will coding void CPO?

Im thinking about getting my 2009 328i coded by a local member on her. Does it void CPO warranty? Im not doing any performance coding like Alpina flash. I just want some convenience stuff coded like windows up with fob, dvd in motion, fogs on with highs on, digital speedo with accurateness, and I-drive warning removal upon start up.

Edit: Woops, posted this in the wrong section. Mods please move this thread the to coding section

I never had any issue with coding or mods at any dealership (i'm sure they could complain... But i've never had any major issues on the ride).

Simple answer is no. Complicated answer is maybe (if you brick electronic by improper coding, change timing with ECU remap, etc), but only for parts related to the change.

They wont notice unless you brick a module and try to claim warranty, then they might do more investigation.

Any change to the car from stock will make the dealer look at the car closer. That in itself will increase the likelihood they will find something that will not be covered.

If my folding mirrors stopped working, and I had coded my mirrors to close when I hit the lock button, I imagine the service tech would look a little more closely at the fact that I changed the factory settings.

Not saying he's justified to deny the warranty claim, but it's another worry and another hurdle.

only thing that sucks about coding your car, is the dealer can just code it back to stock

Thats what I was worried about. They will find a reason. I think the coding I want done is harmless though. Does getting DVD in motion disable the airbags since the car thinks its still in park?

You risk in voiding parts of the warranty on "Whatever mods you do to alter the stock configuration"

Plain and simple Logic~ :P
