DSC Updated, help recalibrating
Updated my DSC module using winkfp and daten 49, all went well.,
but I have a couple of symbols in my dash now. (DTC, handbrake...) To get rid of these I understand I`ll have to recalibrate some sensors. Anyone know which? And how? |

Right after flashing process you should leave your car closed for a few minutes, then you wouldn't have to recode it. |

Thanks for your reply ****** You`r always there when we need you
Recoded it afterwards with expertenprofile I got from you. still no luck.. You sure thats all that is necessary? I`ve read several places that you have to calibrate the dcs sensors and the steeringcolumn to fix it... |

Recently did this on an M6. Coding after the flash will not fix this you will need to use dis or INPA. I used dis and it worked perfectly using the test schedule menu.

Can you explain the procedure as it may help others in future?

Last time I did this I used dis. Open function selection, select chassis, select dsc (something like that) ad calibrate. Then click test schedule at the bottom and highlight dsc calibration and click the green arrow at the bottom right and dis will guide you through the procedure. That's all from memory so it might be a bit different. In INPA it's pretty straightforward, select your chassis, body (karosserie or chassis depending on version) dsc and the calibration functions are in one of the submenus.

Sorry, been busy lately
But here is a short writeup: Open INPA - choose you car - chassis in Script selection - Dynamic Stability control - <F6> (Ansteuern) - <F8> ( Condition Based service (CBS) ) - then reset both (<F1> CBS Reset VA, and <F2> CBS Reset HA ) - all done You may also need to run <F1><F2>and <F3> under Ansteuern menu Once all is done, just drive the car a short distance, and it should be fine . My INPA is in German, so I don`t know the english names for everything |

I could not for the life of me get INPA to do this calibration.
I used WinKFP to upgrade my DSC to the latest firmware, flashing went 100% OK. Once I reset the module via NCS Expert to the default settings (as you are supposed to do after upgrading firmware on modules), I got fault codes 5DD0 and 5DD2. They indicate that the DSC needs to be re-calibrated. So I used the info above to try and re-calibrate them, and it just wouldn't work. Bare in mind, I tried 3 times only... And doing about 10km drives after doing so... The faults stayed. I have a copy of ISTA/D so I used that and it fixed it right away. The motor was OFF, but ignition ON. The car made a number of noises while the procedure took place. Which took about 3 minutes to complete. Last edited by anom3; 05-25-2015 at 01:08 PM.. |

No, a friend is retrofitting MDrive in his E92. I know if have to add M Drive to the VO and recode some modules, but I?ve never done a DSC calibration. Is it in the DSC submenu in INPA?

Awesome! He got a used DSC module compatible with MDrive. I?m assuming I?ll have to change the VIN and then do the above steps. Then change the VO?
