Socom - I really don't know. Just driving home like usual and the car just came to life. It definitely felt like the smaller turbo was running like it should again. I really wish I knew what changed. The car for the most part has been running like the smaller turbo wasn't engaging properly because there was no pick up until 2500 to 3000 rpm. Driving home today there was a noticeable difference from yesterday. It's back to how it was, where the engine seems to be lagging until it reaches enough rpm to bring the second turbo to life. It almost feels like the smaller turbo has been bypassed completely.
I'm thinking that because my 335d is a 2011, the pressure actuator for the smaller turbo is the newer redesigned version which shouldn't give too many problems being so new. My question is if it's a vacuum leak would that cause the problem to be intermittent?
I've taken it to the dealership twice and they tell me nothing is wrong and they reset the shift points. I guess I need to be persistent because at this point with no fault codes they would have to diagnose the problem the hard way.
