Tire advice for 235/35/19 & 275/30/19

I am pretty much basing this off of tirerack, but the Sumitomo HTR Z III and the Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 seem to have about the same ratings/reviews. I read a review on their site where they tested those two tires and the sumitomo's won. They are $18 difference in price so i dont care either way, just want to know if any of you all have had either of these tires and what you think about them.

Hankooks for the value...good for drifting...easily replaceable...

I had a set of Hankook Ventus V12s and I liked them a lot. Inexpensive, perform well, pretty quiet. I also liked the fact that they were directional and symmetrical, so I could flip them side to side (due to negative camber). The Sumitomos are asymmetrical, so you can't flip them like you can flip the Hankooks. Food for thought!

Thanks for the advice, I definitely like the fact that you can flip the Hankooks!

I decided to go with the Nitto NT555. I have had Nitto in the past and have had no issues and they were cheaper than the the hankook and sumitomos. Im not sure if it just purely the size (have never owned 19's before) but these tires are pretty loud. I came from continentals on 17's tho so maybe i just need to get used to it.

Congrats on the tire choice...

OBTW, this car and driver article below clinched the Hankook deal for me:

"...With above-average wet and dry performances, and tying for quietest on the street loop, the V12 Evo is an impressive and well-rounded summer tire. And, at $106, itís a bargain, too."

...you can't ninja your way through the neighborhood with shoes that shout!

--Hey, J/K...glad you got what you wanted!

I have the NT555s as well. They can be loud but I have found that they wear well and quiet down a lot if you run higher air pressures. I run 35 psi in the front and 41 psi in the rears.

oh no no..sorry for the confusion. I got 50k flipped on my sumi's fronts and about 33k flipped on the handcocks. After theyre trashed i run the same brand which is how i came up with the 50k worth of mixing tire brands.
