Project Monaco - A Photographic Journal UPDATED 10/17
Hello Everyone!
I'm a new member to the board and already got bit by the mod bug. Picked up this amazing E92 335i xdrive and loving it so far. Other than my hobby for cars, I love taking photos for fun and for professional work. Some of my photos have been featured on various magazines such as Rolling Stone, Billboard Magazine and more (I work for a music company and do some photography during concerts and such). What I will try to achieve in this thread is to combine my love for cars and photography. I will do my best to keep the journal updated as my car progresses. I am hopeful that many will join me in the journey, so subscribe, contribute and enjoy! -KidNinja Subject: The ever so challenging to photograph, Monaco Blue 335xi Equipment: Sony A7R, Sony RX100 II, Nikon D5100 Table of Contents: Lamin-X Fog Light Tint DIY Blacked Out Grill Hamann Style Front Lip Install Carbon Fiber Performance Spoiler Side Reflector Delete Lower Grill Blacked Out New Wheels - VMR V710 Griot's Garage Orbital DetailedImage Goodies Cyba Scoops ProSplitters Side Skirt Extension ProSplitters Side Skirt Install Carbon Fiber Interior Wrap Red Striping Interior Photoshoots: Throgs Neck Bridge Neighborhood Photoshoot Graffiti Photoshoot Throgs Neck Bridge #2 Bimmerfest 2014 Parking Garage Last edited by Kidninja; 10-17-2014 at 02:00 PM.. |

My Lamin-x fog light tints came in! Installed them on the car and they are awesome! Very thick material too. More goodies should be arriving tomorrow so i'll probably snap some updated pics this weekend

My Hamann style replica lip came in. Looks fantastic! The carbon fiber weave is spot on. Has pre-drilled holes and comes with screws. If the weather is alright tomorrow, i'll take pics during the install!
And here's a quick iPhone pic of the Lamin-x yellow tint Last edited by Kidninja; 03-10-2014 at 12:15 PM.. |

it was as simple as can be. Just clean the the glass, and place the tint right over as if it were an iPhone screen protector

Think mine have been harder because they were round and curved, I couldn't even cut the circles right lol

I like how most of the people who have posted in this thread have monaco blue cars (including myself), haha. welcome to the forum. there are very few monaco blue e92s on here... I feel like the only members I know with this color have already posted here. enjoy the car. nice key chain.

Took advantage of the beautiful weather here today! Decided to paint the grills black and add my hamann style front lip. Here are some pics:
Man... the grill was a pain in the ass to get off but was easy after i got the first one off: Hamann style lip was pretty straight forward to get on. Fitment was perfect! Overall pretty productive day, next project is blacking out the badges in the back, side reflectors, and bottom grills. |
