Too far for me, I'm afraid, although if they'd do it for free, I might make the trip.

SCR cat is being cored out now, and I'm removing the mufflers, as well.
Is doing this going to throw any codes?

So far, I've seen no codes related to the Cat being cored out that I can tell. The sensor that sits behind the Cat is an O2 sensor, nothing more, btw. I'm still waiting for 2 hoses that are missing that apparently are needed for the DPF to function properly (I believe they're gas exhaust pressure sensor hoses). They should arrive today, and I'll have a better idea on codes and how the car runs.

As a side note, coring out the SCR cat and removing the mufflers hasn't provided any more exhaust note, at all. The car is just as quiet. Apparently, the DPF acts as a very effective mute.

I'll post up the underbelly when I get a moment.

How did you core out the SCR? Did you cut the pipe before and after the SCR, core it out, then re-weld it in? or clamp it? Or replace everything from the before the SCR back?

Any pictures? I'm considering doing the same..

I'll have to get the car back up on a lift to take some pics, but they cut the cat, dumped it, and rewelded it. It was cheaper to do it that way, instead of a straight pipe. It's a high flow cat, so there's no real reason to replace it with a pipe, although I'm wondering if the lack of exhaust note still exists, in part, because of the size of the cat, or if the DPF just mutes the exhaust note that much.

You will need to have the regen cycle mapped/coded out, or that will cause a fault code when it eventually wants to regen.
