Information abound on the internet; some real-life anecdotal experiences would be appreciated.

Had the recall done yesterday morning. Entire process took about 2 and a half hours to finish. Would of been nice if the service advisor could tell me what the job actually entailed.

Option 1) get a good caffeine buzz going with complementary beverages.

Option 2) start sitting in the showroom cars and see if anyone notices you (or gives a crap).

Option 3) ask for a test drive.

Option 4) drop by another dealership.

Got my letter dated March 2013 yesterday, I guess BMW Canada is spacing out the letters. It's almost seems they are yelling at you with all that bold and CAPS.

5) handcuff yourself, climb into the trunk of showroom cars. jump out and scream and the next person that walks by.

I got a loaner and mine took a day and a half to complete. Replaced the whole cable.

Booked my appointment on June 7th.
They didn't say how long it would take. When asked for a loaner car, they said its a 35$ charge. Any of you had to pay anything??
