Well, winter returned to MN, so the garage is cold and wet. I'll follow up when it warms up and I get the cork mod done.

what would cause my tips to be uneven (the left side hangs slightly lower than the right, no physical damage)? Installed incorrectly or do i need to adjust the mounts??

Has anyone played around with the tip positioning to see if that will effect noise/droning? How do you guys have your tips positioned? Mine are pulled out about 2-3 inches from the bumpers end and staggered.

FWIW, i was annoyed by the drone at first but I think that has definitely quited down. Love the sound now.

One side usually hangs lower than the other. It's natural.

But seriously, I noticed one of my AA tips was slightly off. Not a deal breaker for me. The drone on the other hand...

My drone has actually gone down by a lot. Even without the corks (have not used any yet). When in DS I have no drone at all. Guess this is the Plus side of putting miles on the exhaust it sounds better and drone is not as bad.

Just got mine. I like the drone but there are times when it vibrates too much. Other than that the sound is perfect. Quick question though, I am at work right now so I can't test it, but can I remove the tips so that I can have them powder coated black? The chrome is nice and all but it doesn't go with my current look right now lol.

I am thinking about getting this exhaust for a 09 E92 328, is installation via the included pipe clamp sufficient, or does welding it solid make that much of a difference for the drone I have been reading about?

Thanks

I wouldn't powdercoat the chrome though. Just buy some Cyba or Dimisa tips in the black finish you want.

haha its probably one of the meanest exhausts for our N52/N51's atm. Delete your resonators if you want louder

Would someone be so kind as to post a video (inside the cabin) of the drone everyone keeps talking about? Ive seen a couple clips on youtube from inside the cabin but not at the rpm range where the drone seems to be most prevalent. Those clips just show someone getting on it or cruising above that rpm range which makes the exhaust sound like it has a very nice deep tone throughout.

I have some posted. Checkout wrngway98 on youtube. You'll need to turn your speakers up a bit to listen. It's a digital camera mike, so quality isn't the best.

yea I am debating that, tried searching on youtube to see if there's a clip but couldn't find anyone who did both

does anyone know if deleting resonators will increase drone?

It will definitely increase drone as the resonator really acts as a secondary muffler. Sacrificing comfort for sound haha

What is the diameter of the exhaust before the muffler?
