Skh,

Sound great but how loud would it be in a e93 convertible? I'm afraid it might be too loud and won't hear the rock & roll!
Cruising at 65 with windows up, it's just a tad above normal in terms of noise. Now if you hit the pedal and let's those RPM's climb like I did in the video, it will get LOUD. Compared to the others I have heard like Eisenmann and Remus, the PE seems to be the conservative in regards to noise level, but I could be wrong since its up to individual taste. I'm happy with my PE, makes the car sound like a V8!

Do full exhaust add the same performance as the BMW performance exhaust? For the BMW, you cut off the old muffles and clamp on the new ones, correct?

Systems that replace the midpipes/secondaries up to the downpipe will provide more gains than just a new set of mufflers. Especially ones that just have less packing in them!

I have a PE and PPK(Performance Power Kit) and it sounds great. With the top down, you hear the exhaust a little at low speed. At 50+ mph with the radio on you don't hear it. I drive with the top and windows down, I don't see why people buy a convertible then drive with the top down and windows up. Save some $$$$ and just get a moon roof.LOL I like wearing the exhaust, its one of the reasons I changed it. The stock exhaust is to quiet. Some change the exhaust and then complain its to loud,LOL, what did they think was going to happen. I love the popping, gurgling and loudness.

I also read the 335is is in between the stock and PE exhaust. I'll have to find a meet and see if someone had them so I can her them.

Finally got my downpipe on, so my car is now running a "full" Active Autoworke exhaust and it sounds AWESOME. No drone, no humming at idle (it's more of a purr), and it's very deep/loud at WOT. Turbo is much more audible, and the power increase is incredible. The DP-back replaces the stock piping and adds an X-pipe giving it a much more refined sound. I haven't seen anyone else here with the whole setup, but I'd definitely recommend it
