Who in Colorado got the Procede FlexFuel?

Saw it on Shiv's post here:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=744695

I'm really curious to see how well it works at higher altitude! For less than $2K, to get an extra 150+whp (at sea level) is amazing.

And if I had read further, I would have answered my own question:

Damn - I really want someone to pull the trigger on this at 5,000+ ft.

You can do it a lot cheaper if you're willing to change a number and reflash when you change mixtures.

I love the integrated flexfuel sensor - just makes it so easy. No worrying about whether it is 85% ethanol, no worrying about how much 91 is really in my tank, etc.

It also seems like the Procede is putting out more power than the Cobb from what I've seen (not trying to start a tuner debate - just stating what I've seen and I have zero dogs in this fight).

A rev 3 is on the way for me (for meth and e85) and I'm on the waiting list for the flex fuel upgrade. Will let you know when it's all in and working.

I have been looking into this for a little bit. Eventually, once I get all the issues fixed, I want to try it out. My turbos are currently getting replaced. I hope all the issues will be gone then!

How long has that taken them to replace, didn't you take it in a few weeks ago?

I used to work by level 3. My wife still works around that area though.

Well, they first only adjusted the wastegates, which I had to pay over $2000 for it. Then, after one day, the rattle came back. Now BMW is replacing the turbos under the extended warranty I'm getting my money back too

Yep, me! I usually do a 50/50 mix of 91/E-85, and that netted me 13.196 at Bandi with the only other mod being DCI. I put a 20/80 mix in yesterday because it was time for a fill-up, but I didn't want to do a mix or all 91. I threw a CEL today after stopping at the store for a bit, but didn't check the codes. It's not really recommended to do more than 50/50 on the JB4 I don't think, so I kind of expected it. 2 mpg less but 2 psi more. It really wakes up!

I figured I would give a late update. In about a month, I am returning to Colorado with the Flex Fuel tune. I have driven to Reno on about 1/3 tank of E85 and everything seemed to work just fine. I will give more butt dyno information once I get to Colorado. I do remember that things were definitely slower in the mountain passes, but mainly from a turbo lag standpoint.

I am keeping about 25% of the tank filled with 91 and the rest with E85. Cold engine performance is just kind of wonky on a complete tank of the stuff. That might improve with the new maps that, hopefully, will be coming out

Once things are warm, this car just flies.

Details? Any additional performance mods required beyond the AP? What sort of E85 mix are you thinking? Is this protuned by you all, or PTF?

Thanks!
Rich

Yes, you will also need an upgraded in tank fuel pump made by walbro($350 installed) all tunes are done by Jake at PTF. We run full E-85.
