Have a few questions about the BMW 6 disc changer.

1) Is the E90 prewired for the cd changer?
2) What is the installation location of the cd changer (I'm assuming trunk?)
3) Can you use an aftermarket changer and just buy the adapter that allows you to plug it in?
4) Unlike the ipod I assume you can control all functions through the radio and steering wheel?

Yes, the prewiring is located under the drivers side trunk panel, pull up the plastic panel with the CD changer icon on it, and feel around for the felt.

Nope, the new 3er is all fiber optic, based on the MOST system, so until aftermarket manufacturers start shipping MOST ready CD changers, no dice.

Yup, full integration, you get the same MP3 and WMA read ability and full title/artist/track info.

Is there anywhere I can order the CD changer from other than the dealership? Just trying to save a cash.
