pothole location, northern VA?

Anyone seen any significant potholes in the nova area in the recent past?

Not a pothole, but be careful of the construction on 495 from Springfield to Eisenhower. They're repaving and a rock just cracked my windshield yesterday.

There's one on Sterling Blvd. that I keep hitting when I'm crossing over it because it's right in the line of travel and is hidden by the crown of the road until you're right on it... my poor 230s

Overall I have to agree though, NoVA is pretty darn good compared to western PA where I grew up. But even the area in which my parents live is better than it was 20 years ago, PennDOT isn't quite the joke it was back then apparently.

Good news! That area was repaved in the last couple weeks.

It was horrific before though. About a 1/4 mile of nothing but potholes and rough pavement.

Frontier Dr. by the Springfield mall is rough and also going onto Franconia Springfield Pkwy from that road is bad as well.

Not potholes, but uneven pavement all around/on the ffx county parkway/fair lakes. It's just as bad with my lowered car. There's no transition, it just goes from old pavement to 3inch crushing blow of new pavement. And there's nothing I can do because traffic is going 40+ mph, I can't slow down too much or I'll get rear ended. This is my pain everyday. #FML

mid point of Belmont Ridge Road in Ashburn South of the baseball fields is like freaking Beruit.....horrible. They just keep patching them and they get pushed in by the dump trucks going to the Luckstone quarry up towards Landsdowne. Its like playing a video game trying to avoid them.

I hit one so hard I was convinced I bent one of my CHs.....took it to Mach V and it just need to be rebalanced. BBS FTW!

x2.. coming from NJ and NH, roads here in NoVA are buttery smooth for the most part. I just avoid DC altogether - that's a different story.

Why don't you guys report these potholes to VDOT? They usually take care of it within a few days.
