I want to order these, but I'm worried about going in blind like the beta testers did and then getting screwed, is there any sort of way of knowing we won't get shafted?

These look like they are using the exact specs and wheels now as the crazy asian guy posted up a year or two ago and I think his were putting out high 400's, very low 500's, so that's a tiny bit of reassurance I guess.
No problems with the production units at all. We shipped 25 sets and everyone seems very happy. Getting some good kill stories, got an email about taking down a Z06 last night, with more dynos coming in all the time. All in all good results. I just believe in progression. Billet wheels are becoming more common and the prices have come down to where it is feasible to use them and not have to charge crazy prices for them. Batch 2 is just us trying to push the platform as far as we can. We will never do a beta test like that again, the process is not ideal, but it worked for what we needed. If you test yourself you can usually only test 1 set and you cant test different things, the betas knew they were betas and we were able to test 6 sets at once with some differences between sets. A couple had issues and they were taken care of no questions asked, while other betas have been running 19 PSI for 5000 miles not a wisp of smoke or oil loss. With that said these will not be beta turbos, we have already been testing prototypes with good results. When these ship they will be 100% production units.

i'm late in the VTT game, but the price is very appealing. how much custom fab work does it take to install this? does the stage 2 just replace the current snail place? will there be custom bracket needed? custom piping?

This is looking good. I'm going in to dealership next week to see if I can get a new set of stockers on account of my wastgate rattle. If so I'll probably just run those for a while. If not I think I'll try to jump in on this. Wonder how fast the pre-orders will fill up? Tony - can you keep the forum posted as slots get claimed? Thanks.

All our stock frame turbos install just like stock, keeping all lines, brackets, and connections in place. We add an extra bracket to help keep the rear intake pipe in place but thats it...

Not a bash on anyone, just the facts. They work well and when designed were state of the art but things change. We are trying to go with newer technology whenever we can

[quote=Vargasturbotech; The thrust upgrade is of course still available and highly recommended, and the GTX compressor option is $400. Keep in mind, if you do not want the GTX wheels batch 2's will still be a kick ass turbo and provide plenty of flow for 500WHP+ with the right tune, fueling, and boost. The GTX option will just get you there without spinning them as hard .[/QUOTE]

Ok are there any first batch guys making 5hundy on the dyno? And will a second batch fully optioned turbo make a legit Daliy driven 500 hp or is it glory run hp.. 500 hp is a goal of mine if I don't have to go stg3 it would be nice .

I realize the stock frame limits it sound like you may a have pushed them a bit.

And if you sell the 50 before bimmerfest price is still good just long wait?

PTF tuned the Stage 3 remotely too and made a World Record 725whp. There is no reason why they couldn't tune these.

Fair. I was under the assumption that somebody from PTF actually physically went and tuned the stg 3s.
