That doesn't look right, the outside rings are barely glowing.

I'm not sure why both my rings light up evenly and everyone else is saying the inside will be brighter. I have a 2006 if that makes any difference.

Here's a picture I just snapped from in the garage. I dont think they are really bright compared to others but I'm happy with them and they arent amber.

Apparently e90s have much better light dispersion compared to e92s. I've seen that posted a lot.

That's how mine looked. Bright inside, dim outside. I returned them. Not worth $70 IMO.

Hello everyone, I bought recently an E92 328i, 2007 model. Amazing car (switched from Golf MK5, 1.4, 75 HP xD).

My only issue is the night driving - the light coming from the headlights is not very bright, the road is not very good visible when driving on the roads that are not lit up.

My friend is driving an Audi Q5 S-Line, and his frontlights light up the road like crazy. I know that his Audi has bi-xenon and my BMW just the 'standard' Xenon. But even the Golf that I was driving before had stronger lights then my Beamer, even tough the Golf had no xenon at all.

Is there a way to make the frontlights be stronger so that the road is much better lighten? 'Cause as it is now - I am not very confident to drive at night on non-lit roads.

PS: I am from EU, and my BMW is imported from US, I know that there is some difference between the US and non-US headlights.

we are talking about the rings not the headlights. For your headlights try changing the light bulbs.

Just an FYI to those shopping for angel eyes; if you expect perfection out of a plug and play setup, especially one under $300 you won't be happy with anything on the current market today. That is the cold truth.

If you want to brighten your angel eyes from stock and get rid of that ugly dim brown then you will be happy.

Keep in mind in the sun the output won't be as visible and the outer ring won't be as bright as the inner ring. This has to do with the design flaw in the angel eye housing. The path to the outer ring fiber optic is a lot longer then the inner.

If you want perfection, buy the new bmw with their latest angel eyes or go custom for $500-700.

Completely agree as i pitch this argument myself.
Even with LUX and other $300 P&P AEs, they won't be as bright as LCIs in the sun. You need complete LED customs like you said.

Not sure if its normal, but for some reason, my stock yellowish AEs are brighter than the P&P bulbs. You can actually see them in broad daylight.

Ok, that's a start, thanks! Can you suggest any good brand and type of the bulb, so that I don't mess up anything but that the headlights are casting brighter beam of light?

The stock bulbs are not "brighter" but they do appear to be fuller as they have a brown hue which is easier to distinguish against it's clear/chrome housing in direct sun light.

When you have LED's in the color range of 4300-6000K and put them in direct sun light it does not contrast as well as the stock bulbs. However, I can assure most LED options are "brighter" in lumens compared to stock and do look more modern compared to a dull halogen.

I personally ran 3000K Yellow Halogens in my angel eyes for quite some time as they produced the fullest appearance in both rings. By no accident the 6000K halogens didn't look as full but on paper the output of 6000K in lumens far surpassed a 3000K light bulb.

The "whiter" the bulb the more brightness and lumens it will have. The more you stray away from 4300K + or - the less lumens.

Remove entire headlight, get custom LED's installed, pop em' back in and never look back. Best $500-$600 mod I've done....some more pics of my BavX LS3's
