Differential or CV Axle?

I have a e90 330XI that just started grinding from the front driver side of the car. The grinding only happened at first when I would barely have the gas pressed, and would go away completely when I would accel. Drove the car to my parents house to look at it, and now it is grinding when I am coasting. It is a very loud grinding noise. It is relative to the speed of the vehicle and not the RPM'S. Anyone have an experience with this? I am think the CV shaft or Universal? TIA for the ideas everyone!

TIA!

So after messing with it some more, it is the universal right after the t-case making the clinging noise. Now from what i understand you cant just buy a universal, you have to buy the whole front drive shaft. Does anyone have a part number for that, I can seem to find it anywhere. TIA
