clutch question

got my new e92 6MT about 2 mo ago, its my first manual car but I had a motorcycle for 7 years so learning how to shift came easy.
past week started feeling a rubbery friction type of feeling (difficult to explain) around the friction zone , trying to figure out what can be causing it....also it is not constant (comes and goes now and then)

if any1 has any ideas, let me know...

thx

Google 'Dual Mass Flywheel' see if this sounds like it's it.

the symptoms for dual mass flywheel probs where explained as more chattering , rough idle and staling ....I haven't experienced any of those.......it just seems like a rubbery friction right when u press down on the clutch

What you're describing there is going to a single mass flywheel from a dual mass. Is the 'rubbery friction' in the travel of the pedal? It may just be the way the pressure plate is designed. Or....

Try looking up 'clutch delay valve' that's another common mod on these boards.

Spoke to a BMW service rep...he said its a common feel to the clutch and isn't a problem.
