I bought BNIB so hopefully the mic will be included.
There is mic for E93 going on fleabay for about 34 including delivery.
Not sure if BNIB from the dealer is the same price.

Good to hear you experience as well. Good luck with combox and hopefully we'll catch up someday matey.
Thanks for the heads up but already got bought a microphone from the Stealers. All I have left to do is update my software to C19 (Daten V42-43) to activate my Connected Drive and BMW Apps without needing a FSC code. I may not bother with 6NR as I plan to fit a multimedia interface so I link up my headrest monitors; I will also be able send video signals from my iPhone and HTC One via this unit.

Good Luck with the rest of your install.

Which video kit are you going for?
As I may install it to have video at the rear for the kids.
And good luck to you for your installation.

Thanks to Deepsrd, Bomber, Alpina527, Leemans, Cage911 and all others who have helped me directly or indirectly to fit CIC + Combox.

Following is the progress;
1- New AGM battery fitted and coded. Things are lot better. I can sit and use the CIC for at least an hour before voltage drops below 11.8V.

2- Combox fitted and coded.

3- Bluetooth working

4- 6FL working flawless.

4- BMW applications (face book, tweeter and calendar) working

Few issues;
1- BMW has made a special plate to fit the combox at the front of the cars. That is designed for LHD so there is a fitment issue on RHD cars. I cannot understand, how can they ignore a basic thing. That plate does not fit flash on RHD cars. So I need to work on that.

2- I need to workout how the e-mails are pushed to CIC?

3- How to make BMW internet work?

4- Front fascia for manual AC.

Congrats Sam. I with the combox; I followed Technics advice and mounted behind the carpet in the footwell of passenger side.

Glad you hear you got BMW Apps workings makes me more determined to get of my backside and get Ian (Alpina527) to update my CIC unit's software.

Re: Emails; this is depends on what phone you are using and it seems the only phone this feature works on are Blackberry's.

Internet: I assume you have to tether this to your phone's personal wifi hotspot function. Alpina527 or Asfar should be able to advise more on this.

Have not made up my mind about video kits. I investigating if there are any units out there that I don't have to send the sound through the AUX port in the armrest.

Its good and only works if you launch BMW application on your iphone. It can read last 10-20 news feeds on facebook, but does not show attached pics / videos. So its a kind of time and money waste.

Thanks for headsup. I was banging my head hard to find out why iphone 4s did not send the e-mail to CIC?

I will work on it later just to open this forum on CIC and read. Though replying would be time taking.

Hi Sam

Sorry for the delay in sending you this pic; I have been down with Man flu and Hay fever.

Anyway, here you go. Hope it helps:

PS. Try to send you a PM, but your inbox is full.
