Local installers

I'm looking into getting the JB4 and some other upgrades soon.

Is there anyone on Oahu or in the immediate Honolulu area that wouldn't mind sitting over my shoulder and point me in the right direction for this JB4 install. It's worth some cash or a case of beer or something.

Let me know!

I just installed my BMS Angel eye bulbs and the BMS DCI. Phew, that DCI was a little tricky getting the airbox and all the surrounding parts off, but I took my time and it looks great!

Now on to the JB4!

May the force be with you. The dci is a piece a cake. The jb4 isn't bad yeah just take your time. Lots of install threads on the jb4 if you run into problems. Lmk how you like the jb4!

Success!!

Just got it install. Verified it's working, able to do the steering wheel controls and all that.

The hardest part for me personally was getting the large connector seated inside the ECU. I think I also semi-broke a small connector tab trying to remove the standard harness. But, with the slider, it reinstalled and seated fine.

Now time to do a test drive. It's 9:45pm...what the hell..lol I started at 6pm.

Haha congratulations. Map 1 you will feel a good difference. When you get more supporting mods like some downpipes and a intercooler you can go map 2 or 5... More boost

So, I shouldn't be on map 5 yet. Oops. Haha

I don't really even know where to start with configuring this thing to be honest. Tomorrow I will set it to Map 1 to get the feel of things. Do you carry like a breakdown of functions so you know what to select? Without something printed, I feel like I'd ever know which menu to go into? At least the maps are on "0" right? Haha

There us go.. haha yeah you are fine on map 5.. people even go on map 2 with no mods but I don't think it is recommended. Don't worry your car shouldn't blow up.. maybe

Unless your running a pro tune on the Cobb AP, its a waste of $800. Especially with the OpenFlash tablet now available. The COBB off the shelf maps are "ok" at best compared to a JB4 or Proceed.

Exactly... The only thing better about the Cobb without getting the protune is ease of installation.
