Purwonally from experience I wouldnt spray your lights. Once its on its vertually impossible to remove without desteoying your lights in the process so advance with caution. Film is the easiest and best way as long as you dont use lamin x as its absolute rubbish. Its light protection film. So its not maliable and reduced light outpu to the point that most cars iv seen with it installed done pass mot.

Iv film tinted porsch lights. Bmw. Bently. Range etc etc.

All is reversablr and the finish is great. Check out my thread of my car wrap in brushed steel and youll see the tint film.

I've done it before with no issues, it's down to using good quality spray. At worst you have to buy new lights which are cheap enough on eBay. Most sprayed lights look crap because they're not lacquered after, or they've bought cheap spray that doesn't have it in

Anyway, as I said, I'm trying the dark lines first now. If I don't like them I'll sell them on and try the tints

LCI lights aren't cheap but they shave years off the car and is a classier mod (that's also OEM) than spray or film imo.

Too much bother and expense getting a tail gate, spraying and swapping it over just for some lights IMO

I fitted the dark lines today, I'm still not 100% on them TBH!
Will see if I get used to them over the next few days.... they look a bit too bling to me

Now the other lights are off I'll give them a spray and see how they turn out. If they look good I'll fit them to see if they suit it better

Looks a good colour match! The 90 looks well in the second pic too

Where can I order...Lamin-x.co.uk doesnt seem to work anymore

How've you gone on with MOT's? (As I presume the reverse light is red/pink) Found a friendly station?

I did my lights with the red tint on my E90 workhorse !

Used smoke tint first then red tint to get perfect colour match. Cut out section for reverse light too. Been on for a year now and colour faded marginally but still looks good.

Reverse lights are not part of the MOT. mine are red/pink, not an issue for me.
