And, if you disable the diagnostic routine related to the cat, will the car indicate OBDII readiness?

Thanks.

Readiness means the emissions on the car is "legal" correct?

Yes. For states that don't do a sniffer test. Some states plug in to the OBD II port and check the o2 readiness status.

If you go through emissions testing and they hook up to your OBD-II port, simply hiding a CEL does nothing for you. You will fail testing as the o2 codes will still show a fault.

We definitely aren't going to do anything that purposely defeats emissions laws. This is up to individuals to do if they so please. For off road use only of course.

Not quite.

The readiness monitor status will indicate if the OBDII system has checked each of the emissions control systems on your car.

If the car doesn't show readiness, it suggests that the OBDII system is not properly monitoring emissions and, if checked by the authorities, it will fail inspection.

So, if you're running without the cats, you'd need the dp fix to show readiness.

no confliction.
readiness will fail without the dp cats and an hardware based dpfix.
The only thing the flash does is disable the codes.

Give me 2 weeks and this car will be running too mint
Are you doing the coils and plugs yourself or having someone do it for you? I heard you can get the NGK plugs as well from BMS (No matter which plugs you go with... make sure they check the plug gaps to be correctly gapped!!!).

I wanted to do them on my own but can't find a DIY....

I'm gonna go to MNC performance unless I find a good guide...

I bought Bosch OEM.

Did my plugs last night actually; only took 30 minutes or so. Very straightforward DIY job.

Updates? I had sushi for dinner. Oh, and I'm going to see Pacific Rim tonight.

Other than that, no updates. Oh wait... all OpenFlash Tablet orders have been filled and shipped today. Except those that came in after 3pm. They will go out tomorrow

Saw it tonight, myself. Badass movie. Can't wait to get my openflash! Will be installing VRSF DPs, FMIC, CP w/Tial soon, as well, along with walnut blasting and new plugs.

Trying to be as stealth as possible. Keeping the stock airbox as well. Stock wheels, stock height suspension...going the opposite of my last car which could be heard half a mile away.

New to tuning so sorry for the stupid question but do u guys think the ots maps for the 335i are at their best or do you think there will continue to be updates increasing power for stage one users?

Since the maps are open source and 100% unencrypted they will inevitably evolve. However, given that Vishnu are arguably one of the most experienced tuners on this platform, the current maps are probably an excellent start. Given the initial reviews, it seems like they perform better than any other currently available stage 1 OTS maps.
