Polishing Novice & Swirl Mark Removal

I'm knew to the polishing scene if I'm honest!

I have a fair few swirl marks (not sure if they're deep/light? - I might take some photos tomorrow) that I'd like to get rid of and was thinking of buying this;

To me it seemed like quite a lot of kit for the price.. I'm just wondering if this would be good for a novice & if there's anything else I should include in my itinerary for this job?

First things first.
This kit includes a high speed rotary buffer and you said you're new to the polishing scene so that's a recipe for disaster. You could end up leaving a bunch of swirl marks and burn the paint (worst case scenario).
I recommend you to look for a Griots Garage or Porter Cable Dual Action Polisher and some Lake Country foam pads. Products and color of pads will vary depending on type of paint (hard or soft), color and condition of such paint as well as the severity of the swirls. We can help you better if you post a picture and information of the vehicle.
