Yes.

The "MIL Engine Off" category, passed. Meaning that AA successfully turned off the CEL (Check engine light)

But the o2 readiness monitors for the cat were "not ready"

Apparently not all the readiness monitors needed to "ready" to pass overall. But it would be nice to get the o2 readiness set along with the CEL off.

When I initially scanned the car for codes, it only produced two, but Zak said we should see 4. He said he found/discovered the other two BMW hex codes later.

I can always send my original or modified file back to you guys.

Yes deleteing the code which turns off one of the two allows you to pass. Success Thank you

Hi Andrew,

In some states it would not be a pass I understand because the cats have to be ready regardless. It can be done as shown by Evolve. How come you guys can't have it show as ready?

Well for one its highly illegal to show readiness but turning off the code is not. Most states allow up to one not ready status.

Hey Andrew, I recently had my tune done including the 'offroad' tune. Do you know if you guys just turned off my CEL light, or turned off the code? Being in Cali, it's important to know what was done.

Andrew/Zak,

I reinstall my tune after some work done to the car. Using the simon tool, the loading process only took 16 minutes (putting the tune file to car). Is this normal?

Everything seems fine but shouldnt the loading time be longer?

Hey Andrew, is there any effect if the PBX is left wired in but turned off when flashing?

Andrew is there a Flash limit as to how many times DME can be flashed until it locks you out?

It should work fine but its always safer to remove everything before installing.

If the PBX is left wired in, but disabled at flash... what happens if the PBX is enabled after the flash? Does it have an additional affect? Void the AA tune effect? Blow up the car?

Thanks

Nope.
Can you do EWS delete or limp mode delete on MSV80? Something that would be needed if one is to use one of these engines in older BMW

Andrew,

I have a 330xi, I see your dynos for 325 but none that I can find for a 330. Given the OEM tune can I expect the same increase power and response over stock as a base 325 or 328?

The 330 is tuned way above the 325's and 328's from factory so you will not see the same hp gains. However you will still get improved drive ability and some extra hp to boot.

We have tuned many of these engines overseas but, I have yet to see a dyno back from the customer. Hopefully we will get some soon to share with the community.

Andrew,
What typical gains could we see in the 330? Extra 10hp?

Hi Andrew,

You told dirtybird_434 that an extra 10hp should be obtainable, I also have a 330xi, but mine is an auto. I wanted to know what other mods you would recommend to go along with the AA flash to make a spirited but reliable daily driver.

I live in Port St Lucie, if I were to drive down to Miami and have AA do the work how much would I be looking at cost wise?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I personally just like the basic of mods for a daily driver N52.

1. Tune Tune Tune!

2. Remove charcoal filter and while you are in there replace the stock filter with a performance one of your choice.

3. Axle back exhaust - Gain some ponies and remove some dead weight in the process.

4. 3 stage manifold for the 325,328 guys.

Thanks for the reply Andrew, I'll give you a call when I'm ready to do the tune. I just bought a house not too long ago, so the pockets need to get used to the extra bills. I've been trolling this site for a while after buying my xi, so the mods you've suggested have come up before. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing anything.

This group is really informative and quite entertaining at times, which is good because the only other BMW forum I had joined when I had bought my '95 318ti over 16 yrs ago is just the same.

Thanks again!
