Just plasti-dipped my roof trim

I feel like I've taken good care of the rubber on my car. I've tried several products, and mostly use Eagle One gel protectant.

My trim still has started to deteriorate- I mean its barely starting to show hairline cracks, but I don't want it to get worse.

Sooo, I decided to try plasti-dip and I must say it was very easy, and looks great.

I don't know how it will last, but to re-do it once a year or so would not be much of a chore.

I basically taped it off leaving about 1/2" between the tape and the edge of the trim.
Did 3 coats- 1 light-1 normal- and one slightly heavy (wet look), waiting about 20 minutes between each.

When dry, just peel and it self-trims perfectly at the edge of the roof trim.

Looks good.

You can always replace the molding with a new one... 15 - 20 bucks.

I'll definitely do that if this doesn't hold up.

I'll probably need to do the rear window trim sometime soon.
