How to make seat more comfy?

So after sitting in my roommate 5 series i realized just how hard the 3 series seats are and being as boney as i am i would really like to get some softer seats or change the padding or something of the sort, does anyone have any suggestions as far as switching the leather or padding and any DIY guides?

Seat Mod for comfort

I took my E90 to an auto upholstery shop and had them shave some of the foam from the side bolster to address an issue I have with pressure on my hip. (They remove the leather, shave then filled with softer material)

I'm sure any upholstery shop could do something similar for any areas of the seat that you have issues with.

I later added neoprene seat covers which also add quite a bit of cushion to the entire seat as well.

Where did you get the neoprene seat covers? Or what brand are they?

I think Mercedes makes soft seats for old people!

Seriously, never had a complaint about comfort of my seats, but I am sure you or an upholstery shop could either add a layer of softer foam or cut the seat down and then add a layer that was softer.

i'm young but health is really bad, being sick all the time leaves ya with very little body fat, pretty much a skeleton so these seats are pretty hard on my boney ass, would have perfered cloth or suede inserts or something that makes it softer, 3 series seats are pretty darn hard when it comes to 5 series.

Doesn't neoprene have that funky odor though?
