Is this the one that's underneath the fuse box if it is will it work for and 08 e90? To do the install is there coding involved

Yes the same, it will work for your car it has to be newer than your car is and you need to code it to the car after replacing...

My cars electronics went crazy. I could not unlock my car sometimes just using the key. My DSC ABS lights went on and stuff like that.

Newer than your car meaning later production date than your car is not older.

Newer than your car meaning later production date than your car is not older.
So I couldn't swap this out then take it to an Indy and have them code it? Or will the car be inop as soon as I swap it out. I would have to verify that this is the correct part# for my car.

There is tons of part numbers check realoem you will be surprised, but they are all the same just production date should be later than your car is.
For example I bought it from 320d RHD version and my car is E82 135i. Will car operate after swap I dont know I guess it should just maybe after coding it will work normally with out any errors in dash etc..

that part # has been revised so theres been an update done....not sure which to get
new is 61359298948 the old is 61359286790 Does anyone the what the difference is in the update?
