No (bluetooth audio) icon 2010 e92 i drive!? also iphone 5 "not supported" HELP ;-(
I need something other then radio and cd and crappy sounding aux cord. Trying to stream bluetooth audio from iphone, it is paired and working normally for calls. However i show no bluetoooth audio icon under cd/multimedia tab, i only have cd/dvd, music collection, external devices, and tone.
From youtube videos i have seen it shows bluetooth audio under tone. Not on my car ![]() |

You need the updated combox. That will give you bt audio plus a few other things. Also the iPhone 5 won't work because apple has gone to a digital signal and the iPhone 4 was a analogue signal. I have the same car and ready went through the same disappointment you are currently feeling.
Using your iPhone 5 right now you are kinda sol for a good oem like fix but the streaming audio can be solved for around $700 if I remember correctly. |

Good hell $700 just to get bluetooth audio? When did they start putting them in the car? My build is a late 09 i think Nov. How do i know if i have the new or old combox? What a let down! That AUX cord looks like crap and sounds even worse... The damn Radio sounds better.

I'm going through the same thing. The only thing I can tell you it to make sure your volume on your phone isn't all the way up when playing music through the aux. Put it closer to 75% then use your cars volume control to turn it up. This will help with the distortion until there is a better solution. Mine sounds pretty good but hate having to use the cable and not being able to change tracks with steering wheel controls.

I have the same problem. I just purchased a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the AUX for $24. Have not received it yet, will tell you how it works. This is the one I got: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have also heard good things about the Belkin: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004CLYJ2I/...=IWNY8QTPVBRNH |

Check out this thread since you have an iPhone
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=885318 The Bluetooth Audio for music (A2DP) was added mid-2011 and is also know as Combox. Prior to the late model 2011 cars, there's no Bluetooth audio support. Your car has Bluetooth but obviously just for phone calls. I don't have an iPhone so I went with the Blackberry Music Gateway and I've been very happy with it. I don't have a Blackberry phone either it's just a reasonably priced A2DP adapter and I wanted one that ONLY does music because I wanted the voice calls to still be through the car. It's great but the one in the thread I linked looks much better for people with an iPhone. |
