Neutral Idle Control (UPDATED: Attached SIB)

Hello,

Is there any way of utilizing coding to disable NIC (Neutral Idle Control)?

How about Hill Assist?

Thanks.

SIB

Please see link below for the SIB regarding what I'm talking about. I want to draw you attention to the last few lines at the bottom of the SIB (which are what make me think that this is perhaps possible via coding:

"Labor Operation: Labor Allowance: Description:
61 00 801 7 FRU Programming coding modules without CAS
61 00 811 8 FRU Programming coding modules including CAS"

Of course coding out NIC is possible, to be honest its turned off by default if your car have newest software in gearbox, if not try to codie it out in EGS module

I'm not sure if I have the newest software... Any way to check?

Do you have some type of DIY or tutorial for this mate? I'm not so sure if NIC is turned off on my car because I've had the symptoms described in SIB since day 1 on my car. Just never got around to addressing it since after my warranty expired...

Thanks.

So basically this isn't any different than coding for anything else. For some reason I thought it would be more complicated.

Will try this and report back when I can, thanks very much

I know it isn't coding but if you have the transmission i neutral (i.e. not in a gear) then the Hill Start Assist functionality is off.
