I think it will be something referring to "speed control", for me it is more connected to the cruise control.

There is nothing in the kombi that needs coded, the alpina trans flash doesn't touch the kombi, so the kombi is just displaying whatever the transmission is sending it to display, just like if you put it in reverse, the trans tells the kombi to display R. Nothing you do to the Kombi will help, you would need to program the transmission to send the gear information and unfortunately that is not a setting but in the code itself.

It is technically the same trans as the early 335i, but unfortunately the older model as it is a ZF 6HP19 where the 335i got the ZF 6HP21 (also known as the 19TU) and the 19 can't be flashed, only the 21 with the larger memory in the trans module. Some people with early 335i's have replaced the trans module with the newer one and successfully flashed it, but not sure if that would work in a 330i or not.

If it would work to change the trans module, I think it would totally suck in a 330i, the standard D mode programming is made to ride the 400 ft/lbs of torque the Alpina car has so it will upshift at 1200 rpm and try to get to the highest gear as fast as it can to get good economy - if your 330i tried to do that, I think it would almost be undrivable as it doesn't make much low end torque compared to the N54 and it would upshift too early and hardly have any power to accelerate - I think it would make your car feel like neutered Prius.
