ohlins kit

I'm considering getting the Ohlins myself so please post a review after you've installed them...are you sticking with the springs that come with the kit? The rear spring rate is the only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger on these, I want to make sure I get rid of the squat on acceleration and not sure the kit springs are stiff enough. Also, if you install them yourself let us know how the install goes and what other parts you got new aside from the coilovers...

Can confirm that, for me, the Ohlins supplied springs do cut squat under power. Mine is a 325i however and has less power than your 335i. Overall though, you'll be delighted...

Wonder if they will improve over the BC BR in this area...I know they will with comfort. I know they will in comfort.

I have nothing stock in my entire suspension. All M3 bits up front and Meyle HD Tie-rods.

Decided to get the upgraded springs 12kg since ohlins are 6kg front and 7Kg in the rear. My current BC BR coilovers are 7kg front and 11Kg rear rich are much stiffer than ohlins and I get a slight lean with the BC BR and we'll rub with the monster tires I have lol! .

What sway bars are you using and what endlinks?
Also, I talked to a Ohlin's rep at one point who told me that you would probably want to have the shock re-valved if you are increasing your spring rate by more than 30% from the kit rates (could have been 50% I don't remember exactly but it was either 30% or 50%)....just FYI

M3 front and OEM in rear (upgraded rear sway is not good for traction). I am using HPA 11.5" adjustable end-links. I doubt I will revalve then...car is for street/
quarter mile mainly.

Ohlins do recommend it, but it's not absolutely necessary as dampers have enough adjustment for at least 12kg rear springs. I haven't had any customers going higher than that so I can't say how the damper and the vehicle will behave beyond that point.

I'd strongly consider new rear shock mounts. You're stuck with the lower rubber chunks that are worth refreshing. For upper mounts look at Powerflex or Dinan. Replacing both upper and lower shock mounts will virtually eliminate deflection.
