Hi,

You will need to flash the ECU with the recovery protocol. Please shoot karlchugh@activeautowerke.com an email so he can send you one for your unit.

Why is a n51 specific file only available now when this tune has been around for about 2 yrs? I'm just curious because I'm on the fence about getting one.

Correct me if im wrong Andrew but we only test tunes on cars we have access to(N52) no diesel no ultra low emissions. This is why our initial software was only for n52.

to Andrew and Karl for exceptional customer service
Thanks for working OT on a Friday night on my tune and getting it to me on time for a 400 mile trip. My car has never ran better, smoother and more power.

I have the stage II with super sprint headers, been messing with O2 simulator for over a year, while it works and my car ran well but I could never get the fuel mixture trim right, the stage II off-road tune corrected that, plus no SES fault codes; I know it's only been two days with the tune but I am loving it.

Anyone with cat-less headers, I recommend the stage II off-road tune, it's a $200 upgrade if you already the stage II

Do you still have the secondary cats? If so what exhaust?

I'm looking for some clips of catless headers, secondary cats in place and BMW PE, specifically with this tune.

Thanks

Thanks for posting that, sounds great, but like I said, what I am looking for is headers, secondary cats, and bmw perf cat back. If anyone has that please post. I love my car the way it is now with the AA stg 2, but catless headers and the tq they bring would be the bees knees, as long as my car didn't stink and wasn't too loud. I think the stock secondary cats would keep the smell down, but of it's too loud, forget it.

Thanks JDane!!

How long have you had that setup on your car? What are your impressions? Too loud? Just right? I assume you got the offroad map so no check engine light?

Also did you do the manifolds yourself? If so, how much of a bitch was the job?

Thanks!!

So, finally did it! A bit optimistic probably on my end to do it after work but got it done in about 4 hours including tune last night. A bit of a pain at times, especially given my "solid" patience. Got all the parts as a 3 stage 330 kit from Tisher and everything showed up as listed and quickly as always, thanks guys!!! Now 1 day later, where the car might still adjust, I am SUPER happy with the result; definitely feel the difference and made the car feel lighter/smoother! Really like the tune so far and I am sure it will only get better! Thanks Andrew and "company", and for taking the time for questions etc. I feel that the stage 2 tune without the 3 stage only bumps you 1/3 of what I felt from this last addition/tune. Gots to go driving again!!!

This makes me happy. I have the stage 2 tune, already, and it made a significant difference!! At the end of the week will be picking up a 3-stage intake. Can't wait to feel the POWAH!!!!

Cheers!

So everytime I take my car to the BMW dealership for repairs under warranty, I have to reflash back to stock?

I've had it for about 8-9 months or so. I love the set up, it pretty much sounds like the PE on steroids (which it is). Yeah, offroad map so no CEL or anything.
And I had a shop do the install for me. He said it wasn't too bad, just time consuming.

It depends on the repair. In most cases the answer will be No.
