Literal rocking from my car when driving

Hi
My newly purchased car from an (independant) garage is back having the DPF replaced. I also noted to them that at 30mph and above there is a slight wobble from the car, but not the actual steering wheel. They have advised its because of the 19inch alloys, which to me sounds like b*ll*cks.
Anyone experienced this?
Thanks
Mark

I have 19" 313's and they are more sure footed and solid than the 18" MV3's I had on my last car - no wobble at all !

The rocking from the car (330d LCI) I get every now and then and have noticed on 530d's i have driven ... almost like the engine is out of balance. It usually comes when the car has been sitting for ages and goes after it's first use.

Thanks for the replies guys. I said the same thing, i have had many a car with 19inch and bigger without a problem. So the plan is to take it out with the salesman and show him.

Absolute rubbish!

Sounds like they are trying to fob you off mate, i have been on 19's for a long while and have never experienced any wobbling regardless of the speed.

Let us know if they discover the 'real' problem.

Best of luck

I had a similar thing on my last car. Turned out the spigot ring on a front wheel had been caught amd bent slightly when fitting the wheels. A new ring sorted it

Got the car back today. Four new tyres fitted, new DPF, new glow plugs and temperature sensor. Wow what a difference, finally time to enjoy the ownership.
