Digital TV Tuner DVB-T/DAB

I've wanted DAB and TV in my Bimmer and I saw this, what do people think?

http://www.carcommunications.co.uk/c...tons-ctdasbm02

Is it value for money or are there better alternatives out there? Can anyone recommend someone in the north west region who could do this for me?

I have looked at it sometime ago.
Considering DAB and TV in one box, that seems the best value for money.
You should try to find reviews on this kit as most of the aftermarket boxes go faulty in 12-24 months.

That looks like the only DAB and TV solution for the CIC at the moment. I've contemplated buying (as I'm after the same) but lack of reviews puts me off.

The Fiscube kit is OEM like and very good but that only offers TV.

Funnily enough Im in talks with Kufatec at the moment (who make the Fiscube) and they are currently working on a CIC compatible DAB retrofit . This will be available in early 2014.

You also need to factor in where the aerial(s) are going to be fitted. That DAS unit has inputs for four of them!

For just DAB (integrated with CIC), Mobridge are bringing out a unit (http://www.cartronics.co.uk/media/pd...-DAB-Flyer.pdf) and Dension do an add-on unit for their Gateway 500S product (http://www.dension.com/dab-solutions)

Regarding aerials, the problem in my E91 is that I would need to replace one and maybe both of my rear side windows to retrofit the OEM aerials.

In car TV is a bit of a toy but rarely used. I have had it in my last 2 X5s and given it extremely little use. Having said that it was useful last week while parked up waiting for a fireworks display to start, You've been framed kept the kids amused for half an hour until the show started.

I rarely watch tv at home so I doubt I'll watch it in the car. It's just a feature I'd like. Probably more important for me to have the digital radio.

I too have been looking for such system for my CCC.

But now moved on to CIC so I'm still looking.
I found this company in Germany that does something like that.

I can't seem to see a price on that but I'm not sure if it is because I am using my mobile.

Don't think they have a price on the site.
But I seem to remember it being around 700 when I asked.

That one includes a media player though I believe which can play mov avi rmvb divx etc etc. So the standalone TV verson is cheaper if I remember correctly.

I'm tempted myself.
