Big brake kit

I'm after a big brake kit for my e92 330D m sport 2010

Every website I go on only advertises for the 335i

So does anyone no if the brakes on my 330D are the same part numbers ect as the 335i

Can't seem to find anyone on here who has done it to the 330D on here

Reason for bigger brakes is I'm planning to take the car to the Nurburgring in 2014.

great resource and will pretty much answer your question.

with my 328i, 335i brakes bolted(pretty much, minus rear parking brake guts and a little dust shield tweaking) on without any issues.

actually, just took a peek... looks like they use the same brakes.

It looks like the 330D and 335i are pretty similar

What parts do I actually need to make sure they match?

A BBK is definitely recommended if you're taking your car to Nurburgring. If you're interested in a BBK, I can offer you a Stoptech BBK at a great price.

You don't really need BBK for one track event especially if it is one day. You can upgrade pads and be fine. If you are planning on 10+ days a year on track then BBK is worth it. You can even use your OEM pads.

I get brake fade on the way to work so I'm sure the OEM brakes won't last more than to minutes at ring

This. I have a 328i and opted for rotors, pads, lines, fluid and I've seen night and day difference.

Granted, I don't have boost and need more power to stop, but it is assuring knowing it's there if I need it. It's mainly a street car, FYI. The cheapest I found all 4 sides of BBK was something like 6800 dollars. Much rather take that into a project car

I have purchased the front BMW performance BBK with with 345 discs

They are second hand but I'm told they will fit,

Do you have a e92 330D?

I'm after the rears do you no the part numbers from BMW?

In origin BMW performance front discs are 338x26mm. If you got 345mm rotors then you should have custom made bracket to fit the caliper. I'am not sure that you case is better than original if you still use the same original pads. Friction area is the same.

I'll be running fast road pads,

My original discs are 345 and the new ones are the same which come with the kit,

The surface area will be the same but the callipers are 6pots so will make a hell of a difference right?

i just update my 318d with 335i brake kit and EBC RedStuff pads. its more than enough for nurburg.

Yes it will make a difference, however if you bought used BMW Performance calipers with original mounting bracket, then your rotors 345mm will not fit, because original bracket made for rotor 338mm diameter.

335i rear brakes have different parking brake, it will not work on 318.

And YES 335i brakes 318 is definately more than enough to go on any track with 318 .....

If you want to buy new 335i calipers and other stuff, it will cost you the same or little less than performance ..... if cheap used set, that's another story
For 328i which you have, the rear 335i brakes will not work with your parking brake.

I'm looking for a used set, hence asking in a thread about BBK's where I have a much higher chance of people who have their oem takeoff's lying around
Yup, I'm going to fabricate a new parking shoe using to fit the larger 335i rotors.

The perf BBK is not good, it fades. You can read test articles. I researched it and installed 335 brakes. Just wanted to share info.
