Thanks - I had just washed the car the day before. Here in the mid-Atlantic you have to take advantage of mild weather in the winter. I'm pretty fanatical about keeping my cars clean, always hand washed with sheepskin mit and hand dryed with microfiber cotton towels.

tctic - The E91 wasn't home that day.

That will have to be a shoot for another time - though I would love to see the Arctic color with properly balanced studio lights. That will give me a project to work on for another time!

In the warm months she gets washed about every week. In the winter it is as often as the weather allows. We have a touchless wash nearby for when the weather is bad and it needs a cleaning.

Squeaky clean (while I know what you mean and is a nice compliment) is not the desire. The squeak would be caused by friction, and that would mean there is not enough wax on the paint!

edit: oh, and mind telling us how you control the light condition in that environment? were you carrying a light source around to take the photos in a dark garage? truly amazing.

Stew - kid barf. Yuk. You're doing God's work man.

creaminz - Just a good hand wash and towel dry (frequently). I typically use Meguire's car wash soap, rinse with a good flow of water, then towel her off.

Absoutely. Women are my specialty. I'm not much of a car photographer, most of my studio work was fashion/style work with female models. My non studio work was sports and rock concerts, and the occasional U.S. President and King of all media.

Somebody had to do it.
