I'm glad you see what I meant. I mean it seems like they are going to share quite a few parts with only a few features unique to the 3 series which is depressing when you just paid $50k for a car that you can get the majority of the same features for at $35k. The interior seems slightly cheaper looking at the dash but everything else looks the same. Just not a fan of the body or else I would have cancelled my 3 series order in a heartbeat. |

I completely understand, and I am the same way.
If I pay $50,000 I do not want a $30,000 car to be better in ANYway. But, the 1 series is quiet a fun and qweky little car. Big headlights, small body, big engine. I love it. |

On topic: It is rumored to be $29,995 for the 128i and $34,995 for the 135i. But, price is going to be officially announced in Mid-November. Pimp Star |

So this is what you will get for mid thirties:
135 = + stock 6 piston brakes, 100 lbs lighter - restricted exhaust, no leg room for rear seats, looks after this assume all upgrades would add similar costs to either the 335 or 135 Now what would you get for 35K in the used m3 market? M3 = + looks, handling, M status - used |

+10 After looking at several pics of the 135i, I have found the 335i to be "uglier". The 135i is more boxier and harken back to the earlier e30/e36 3 series. It is lighter than the 3 series and more aligned with why I have fell in love with BMW in the first place. It's alot more sportier, should be slightly faster and will definitely be a more "tossable" car. The 335i is just too elegent, too big of a car now. I cannot believe the e90's are bigger than the e46's. Plus, the e90's interior sucks a$$. I prefere the more spartan interior of the 135i over the grosely designed 335i Looks alot better in wood trim with the luxury package, but at least it cues are driver-orientated..! The clubsport mentality and the BMW produced aftermarket performance options that they will make avail, will ensure a great following. I think many of the 335i owners are in denial about this car. BMW has said many times that this car is a throwback from the 70's. Extremely agile..! -Garrett |

I also might have to get Navigation because of that awesome display and the features it comes with, also, I do not need to dish out $5,000 for the Technology Pack. Pimp Star |

Okay, buddy.
You don't think that a 400bhp+ 135i Coupe can beat an M3 in a straight line? 2006 BMW M3: 333bhp at 7900 262lb-ft of Torque at 4900 Weighs 3415lbs or 1550kg 2008 BMW 135i: 300bhp at 5800 300lb-ft of Torque at 1400-5000 Weighs 3438lbs or 1560kg 2008 BMW 135i w/ PROcede: ~400bhp ~400lb-ft of Torque Weighs 3438lbs or 1560kg The M3 might be faster around a track because of it's LSD and the way the car is set up, but if I had to pick one car for everyday and for fun, it's the 135. LOL I didn't say anything about straight line performance. Everyone knows a Proceded n54 in a 335i/135i will trounce an m3 in that regard. I don't see any track data however suggesting that this car handles better than the m3 though? I also think the car is ugly; not i can live with it subaru wrx ugly, but ugly like every time i see it i want to smack a bmw designer.

Oh man....please lets not turn this into a 135 vs M3 arguement. They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath. And no, I've got nothing against a 135.

Second, the 1er's interior is no more nor less driver focused than the e9X's. Not hatin' on it in any way shape or form, but it's not like the inside is any better.

DO you honestly for 1 minute believe that figure. Please.
Its a transposed number. So until someone actually gets one and weights it we will all be guessing. Until then I tend to think its 3372 and 200 pounds lighter. Man I always add that I like the 3 series when ever I post over here and might even get it if I dont like the one but some of you 335i owners are just to funny. It does have some funky traits that I dont like, esp the lights but parts of the 335 are also not to keen. Like the accord rip off rear end and the half ass after thought hanging exhaust. I do agree that in sleeknees and style alone the 3 is the winner but I am far from thinking the 1ner is the ugliest car in the world. PS - I would also Never Ever mention the 135i or even the 335i in the same comparison with the M3. The M is the M. Enough said. Except your little brother people. M wheel, 6pot brakes and all. |
