I know alot of ppl don't like the rear design. to me it's ok, it's growing on me, something different. It's just my opinion.

Nope, you're the only one. Looks like they're changing it for the coupe so looks like not a lot of people are digging it.

Actually I don't mind the rear in general. I just hate the shape of the tail lights.

I really love it. I think it looks sharp and sporty but still a bit understated.

I like it as well. I just would like them to keep it for the coupe and not have the current E90 look so old after a year of release

No you're not the only one I really like it. The fact that BMW may choose to make the coupe look different does not mean that the sedan's lights are ugly, but rather that BMW is trying to instill more of an independent personality to the coupe (which before was more of the same only less doors).

If you don't like the rear of the E 90, you probably don't like the rear of any cars built in the last 3 years. <g> Mine was parked next to a 2 year old Taurus the other day. From a distance they looked alike except the Taurus is larger. Much the same can be said of the Sonata and the new Passat just to name a couple. The side view of the Passat looks strangely like the E 90 too, as does the Chevy Impala. Let's face it, they all use the same CAD software package. <smile>

I have never bought a BMW based on styling though I did like the kidney grills until Pontiac co-opted them several years ago. Chris Bangle and company, like it or not has made BMW cages more appealing to the masses while not winning fans among the faithful. Oh well...

I'm an Audi owner and I love the new design...which is why I'm getting rid of my A4 and getting a BMW again...

i'm going to repeat myself again, but i absolutely hate the rear. they should have kept more rectangular design from E46 and E36 and make it look better/newer. not to put honda-like tails on it

I also love it.

It needed getting used to at first, but now I see an E90 wizzing past me, and I think HOT!! Some colours suite it better, but at the end of the day - it's sporty and elegent.

I do however think it'll be the noticible change on the midlife cycle face lift. They might do something funky like add LED's.

For now though...I think my car has a hot ass.

I quite like the rear now. I was considering adding the blacklines once my car arrives, but have decided against it. I think the car looks just right without it.

Similar to other Bangle era BMW designs (e.g. E65/66, E60), it takes a while but once you get it, you got it...then the design makes sense and starts to be appealing.

Having said that, being the more conservative volume model, the e90 is not as hard to figure out as the E60, Z4 and the E65. I think the IS250/350 has a slight edge in design (maybe due to familiarity of lines) but the e90 is quite an intergrated and dunamic design (incl the rear lights), and thankfully, not too heavy on the 'flame surfacing'.

Of course, as a Bangle design the car's looks rely heavily on color, wheel design/size and fender gap.

As a wise man said, "To each his own" .. I like it the way it is but don't mind the black line taillights.

I personally like the look of the back end. I know its not everyones cup of tea, but again, its all about personal preference.

I can't see the rear end while driving so it makes no difference to me that it looks like an unsanforized Taurus. <g>

I like it too.

I'm really getting sick of people who are comparing the E90 rear end to the horrible Nissan Primera .

No comparison...

It looks great if it's Sparkling Graphite and says 330xi.

I don't like it because I don't have it. I think that rear looks better than mine.

How much is it, by the way?
