Hood Chip Turns Into Rust

OK guys, who has a recommendation on the best way to approach this issue. I have no experience in painting a car, and would prefer for a professional to do this. A few people have mentioned that I need to repaint the hood, others say that I can "blend it." No idea if this would be the best course of action.

Please allow me some insight.

it's at a spot nobody would ever notice, so for that reason i wouldn't consider a paint job. Maybe if you had that plus another 50 paint chips on the hood, then it might be worth looking into.

So just use touch up paint to fix it. Go buy one of those sanding pens, sand down all the rust, and use the touch up paint + clear coat to fill it on. They sell the touch up paint kits (dr color chip) that are super easy to use..otherwise if you know someone who does detailing, have them use touch up paint. Sand down the "blob" and polish it off, like this http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=617142
