New Seat Leon FR 184.

I'm looking for a new car on a 2 year lease deal and the Seat Seems to fit all criteria for immediate delivery. 169.99+VAT a month, 6 payments down and 10k a year mileage allowance. It's really a deal that's hard to ignore. In fact, it's only 10 a month more for the tech pack ones (touch screen sad Nav etc)

It's been getting some excellent reviews. Plenty of family space, quick, frugal and loaded with standard gear. It won't have the same level of interior fit and finish as it's sister cars, the A3 and Golf - but it'll drive better than both. The Seats generally do.

184bhp and 280ibs ft. 0-60 in 7.5 seconds. A combined 50mpg. Lots of standard equipment including Bi-xenons and DRL's, bluetooth with audio streaming, cruise control, climate control, a LSD etc.

My initial choice was either the Golf GTD or the A3 sportback 150TDI - but the Golf has a 26 week wait and the Audi deal had just ran out before I considered it.

What are your thoughts? I'll need to order before Friday, as it's month end and I'm pretty sure they'll pull the deal by next week.

Sending prop form today, hopefully. Getting my bro to do the negotiating, see if they will match the standard car price with the tech pack. It's only a tenner a month...but still pushes the deposit up by 240.

Just filled the order form in today. I had to choose what was in stock or wait 3 months min for delivery.

Spec is: Apollo Blue with the upgraded 18" performance alloys.
Tech pack (touch screen Nav, front and rear parking sensors with screen graphics, LED exterior lights)
Comfort pack (auto lights, wipers, folding and tilting mirrors)
Standard equipment: LSD, bluetooth with audio stream, telephone kit,
MFSW, ipod connection, SD card slot, cup holders, driver profile, front heated screen.

Not bad for 222 Al in with 10k a year mileage limit and 6 months down.

Preferably, I would have gone with the red or the grey - but I need a car ASAP and beggars can't be choosers (as they say)

Yes, on the GTD. It'll be more like 20-21 now. Dealers will have quicker access to stock, but they won't match a brokers price.

I have been looking at one of these for the wife.

We looked at the Golf, the A3, the Octavia and this (all the same car underneath). The fit and trim on the Seat was as good as on the Audi but of course everything wasn't an option.

Seat are currently throwing in the Tech pack free on all models so on the FR it would come fully loaded and actually we think the car actually looks nicer than the Golf

It's certainly a lot of car for the money

I drove the a3 equivalent with s tronic and thought it was bland at best. However, my opinion could have been slanted by the fact they wanted 450pm for the a3. At half that price I would have been more impressed.

Edit• Apologies, I thought we were talking about the petrol one.

Pal,

These are awesome cars, your be smiling from the moment you get in it and drive it up the road. Lol.

I had the leon Cupra MK 2 K1 and it was one of the best cars I've ever owned! Performance was excellent and considering its the under sister of the Golf it's spec'd out far better. The only reason I didn't buy another is that the wife moaned that we needed a bigger car due to having toddlers! Lol. Dam kids!!!

Are you going down the re map route and tuning? As there is fantastic potential in them! The only down sideis that the parts new are really expensive and the secondhand market parts keep there value.
