seriously, i also don't know long personally but i ordered a shirt/sticker from him....thought i messed up the mailing address then somehow...he found it and last message i got was that he would be sending the stickers/shirt soon....medium size, don't forget

My aero lip story is quite the opposite of yours. Before ordering the lip I emailed Long with bunch of questions (I was concerend about color match) and he patiently responded to all of my questions with great honesty. After ordering the lip, I had to leave for a last min business trip and asked him to hold the lip for me until I get back which he did!

The Man Remains a LEGEND!

i don't get why this question was raised in the first place.

Long is not a vendor here, he has built up a reputation on this forum over time by helping out members, answering endless questions.

he does not solicit business in anyway shape or form.

the difference i see is that vendors are here because that is their business. long is a machinist who just happens to own two current gen 3 series and helps out those who need it. this is not his business, he does it because he wants the 3 series to get recognized. he wants people's car to stand out and achieve the potential it can.

the only reason i can see people raising this point is that they only wished they had the reputation and respect that long has.

people have flamed me before for being long's little apprentice and what not, i gladly wear that title because i have nothing but respect and admiration for all that long does.

quick question guys. I have on order my 335xi coupe that is still 'on order' status. I was wondering if I should have my dealer install the aero kit thats listed on bmwusa.com, or if I should order this one from longtran. I am wondering if since I've only placed a deposit w/ the dealer if I cant simply try to negotiate the OEM aero kit in w/ my deal.
