E91 LCI - trunk handle won't work

After reconnecting the battery after mounting soft close I have had the following problems:
- trunk handle won't work but I can open with FOB
- Car reports trunk open but only on some trips
- Car reports "increased battery discharge" on ignition and does not seem to go proper into sleep (relays and flaps motion randomly when standing next to it locked) (without key nearby as the car has comfort access)

Softclose fuses are removed, but problems persists.

Any hints to where the problem is and how to fix?

Update: leaving the car without battery for the night solved the problem.
