LOL..you're not serious? When you're starting in the low the 6 sec range to begin with .5 seconds is a world of difference.

Still, for those of us in the U.S., rumor is we will end up with a 3.5 liter instead of the bi-turbo 3.0.

Look at the first pic that fleet posted. on the left side of the motor you'll see alot of pipes (manifold). If you look closely, you'll see that every other pipe (six total) goes to one of two turbos. You can see one of turbos right on the front of the motor, and you can sortof see the other one at the opposite side of the motor.

Yeah, it would make sense that they are small due to the relatively small desplacement of the motor (3.0 liters)

Turbo cars are nice but the turbo lag kills it. I would talk a NA engine over a turbo anyday. Do you know what a bitch it will be to replace those little fvckers

Seems whole block is Aluminium now

Pistons are different shape for Direct Injection

Fuel system now very high pressure for Direct Injection

a message regarding the presentation of a new 3.0 l six-cylinder turbo engine. it will be shown at the 76. genf autosalon from 2.-12. march 2006. this engine will, in the near future, first make it's debut in a new BMW-modell for the market(E 92?). other modells may/will follow. it seams to me "Tine" was well informend.
