P 5UML - The E39 Completed Exterior Pics Pg.2

Hi guys

some of you may know i had an E92 which i loved and went to town with in regards to mods - it was a great car, owned her for a little over 3 years and felt like i needed a change, a new project to sink my teeth into

plus working in London now meant i hardly used the car so it was a shame to just have her sitting there...

here's a pic of the E92 when i had her...

so enough about my E92

I have now moved on and bought myself an E39 530i Sport Individual
this has the Champagne interior and Sapphire Black paint work - as far as i know they only made 150 of these but i could be wrong.

thoughts - i love it! a touch of pure class and extreme build quality you just feel safe in it - beautiful to drive and very refined! the engine is pure class and it comes with all the toys you could want, seats are heated full electric, sat nav, cd changer and even a tape player lol! steering wheel is full electic adjustable and multi function too (this car is 13 years old)

bought her for a little under £3k and it is huge value for money!

here are some pics of when i bought her....

as you can see there was a few things that needed sorting on the car...

Engine was nice and clean

The day i bought her....

So thats how she was when i bought her...time to clean her up a little i though and went to work....

I needed to De-Badge her...

Headlights were the worst - bugged me everytime i saw the car and i thought i have to do something about it....
searched Ebay and managed to order 2 new headlight lenses - this is the process i took

Headlights out

Thought i would do the grills at the same time....

shockingly bad....

As you can see i had the M5 mirrors fitted too! auto folding which is nice

a few other bits have been done but i will update the rest as i go along...

hope you enjoyed the updates so far

Smashing it up!!!! Makes me so jealous that I've spent RIDONKCULOUS on mine in comparison when the same fun could be had with a cheaper car!!!

I wanna tell the thread your mods but you'll just have to pay me to keep quiet

Superb car mate, soft spot the E39, always hankered after an M5. The whole E39 range is a lot of car for the money. Looking forward to the other updates to this thread to get it up to date with what you have done, and what you have planned next.

Love E39s but personally you've already ruined the car with those headlights, just looks chavtastic.

thanks for the comments guys and each to their own on the mods
the mods done to the headlights is no different to that done on the E92 and main beams still work well with uprated bulbs

chavtastic? lol - thanks

this car is going to be very hit and miss but i want to do something different with it and i am sure i will offend many more with it along the way!

Time to get some lows i thought...

i think i am going to call this Project Marmite now lol

Full Airride Airlift with V2 Management System - absolutely love it and the ride comfort is surprisingly very very good...

decided i wanted some extra stopping power and had a set of 8pot K Sport Calipers with 356mm Grooved disks fitted too.
