Etched clearcoat
My clearcoat is etched.
I have tried clay, polish and wax... Any ideas on how to fix it?

Take it to an expert, as long as the black paint itself is not damaged to the grounding, it´s polishable. But only with the right tools and experience.

WAIT!
Before sanding... what kind of polish did you use? You would need some sort of aggressive polish, followed by a mild polish to remove the etching. You would also HAVE to use a random orbital buffer. Doing it by hand just won't work. If you tried this method, then find some 2000 grit sandpaper and let it soak in water overnight. Take the wet paper & lightly sand the etched area. Follow with aggressive polish, then with mild polish. I'd recommend Griot's Machine Polish 1, 2, and 3.

hard to tell from the picture but if its really etched it will need to be wetsanded lightly and machine polished. There is a good chance it might not remove it but will lessen it. Looks like a scuf to me try a pc on it first with a good polish. Chris
