Tire

Just curious, what most of you use on your tires after washing them. Do you spray something, wipe, just curious on what most of you do

I was wondering, because some get to shiney, and some end up on my wheels and makes a mess when driving. THen when it rains my tires turn brown thanks for some suggestions

I have to agree with E90Fleet, Meguiars does a good job on putting a shine on your wheels. Highly recommend it.

i use mother's fx tire shine with an eagle one tire swipe and its not too shiny. just let it set for a few minutes before you drive and it won't make any mess. the browning of the tires is due to UV not the tire dressing.

I've actually got both the hot tire shine and the armor all foam on my shelf. The Meguiar's stands up to a couple of light rains (import where I'm located) whereas the amor all blows right off. Meguiar's also made a gell that you put on with an applicator, can't remember then name, now that holds up to a lot of rain before it comes off.

The hot tire shine is a little too glossy for my tastes, but I put up with it. The armor all is also too shiny, but a quick swipe of a rag while it's still wet will matte it up nicely.

Make sure to check overspray, if you get it on your wheels brake dust sticks like crazy .... comes off super easy, but shows up faster.

I use zaino's tire shine. It comes in liquid form and I use a foam applicator pad to apply it. None of that fake wet glossy look and it doesn't sling off once you start driving.

I use the same thing, but I cant get an even shine. Do you guys spray a whole lot on the tire?Maybe I'm not using enough.
It also has a strong toxic odor when using in a closed environment. If the can wasn't so big, I could use it as an alternative to pepper spray

I use Stoner's "More Shine, Less Time". Supposedly you can control the level of shine by adding more or less product. Takes a bit of perfecting to get all the tires looking the same shine, but overall good product.

Griot's Rubber Cleaner (to scrub away the brown stuff) then Griot's Rubber & Vinyl protectant. Leaves the tires nice & matte black - like new rubber. Personally, I don't like that glossy shine, especially when it flies off while you drive.

Also, that tire foam crap... it is the worst product you can use for your rims. It will eat away at the coating (unless you have damn good spraying aim & never have any overspray)
