Cobb AP OTS map 6AT flatlining fixed?

Planning on running the Stage1+FMIC map...

Did Cobb ever fix the flatlining issue on IJE0S 6AT when short shifted? I know the workaround last time I checked was to stack a base map + a piggyback.

Man I've been out of it for two years and there has been so much movement!

I guess running a JB4 + Cobb AP is obsolete now?

Hehehe, you virtually dont need JB4 IF your on stock turbos and soon it wouldnt matter if you have upgraded turbos. All this can be exclusively controlled by the DME with MHD Flasher. Here is a sneak peak of our testing on some Hexon turbos all the way to 30 PSI and perhaps more. Public anouncement will be made after all R&D is done and whats involved with the "package"

Lol what flatlining issue ?

Not to jack the thread but I was in the process of getting a custom e50 tune from wedge but now that MHD is out im leaning on getting that. I know there are more tables on MHD but is there going to be any noticeable power difference? I'm not looking to make the fastest n54 but I want it safe and reliable as well.

Thanks

Wow, everyone ignored the man question and started throwing product in his face . To answer the op question, any Cobb tuner can fix your flatlining issue with a protune since Cobb no longer updating their maps. No piggybacks needed.

MHD is a new tuning solution you can look into if interested.

some ppl were lucky enough to have their flatline tuned out by a cobb tuner.....unfortunately i wasn't one of them when i ran cobb/ptf and we tried it all.

Did you try Wedge/BQ who solved it for several Cobb users before MHD existed?

Do you know if with the new discovery of tables and such, that the MHD canned maps fixed flatline once and for all? I'm not opposed to the idea of buying the canned MHD maps if they don't flatline, but I'm not about to spend $60 to purchase the ability to log and find out the hard way.

The JB4 + backend flash mostly fixed it, but you'd still see some drop post-shift. It was just the best solution at the time. I'm simply not interested in running hundreds of logs on this car anymore.

flatline is now a thing of the past with MHD.

Thank you, wow, out with the old and in with the new, poor Cobb. I still use ATR and i'm comfortable with it but i guess, if Cobb has in fact stopped supporting, I may get to the point of switching! Time will tell.

Cobb still support the N54 in general (hardware), just haven't made any updates to their OTS maps (software). A lot of people seem echo what they hear instead of researching.

Think about it this way, those OTS maps are designed as a GENERAL map that people could be RAN with the minimum requirements. They are good/safe enough for the average Joe to plug in and go. However, if a user want a custom map that's calibrated for their car, they have the option to get a protune or use ATR. There's only so much a company can do for the general public.

To sum it all up, just because they stop updating OTS maps doesn't mean they're dead or obsolete. They just leave further tuning if desired up to the end user. As for as we know, their tuners could have just found a happy spot with the general tune and see no other reason to touch them. After all, they have went through multiple revisions over the years.
