Eibach Pro-kit or the H&R Sport
I'm stuck between the Eibach Pro-kit and the H&R Sport.
The Eibach is 1.2 and 1.0 the H&R is 1.3 and 1.2 I'm looking for a drop that will make my car look more aggressive, but not having to worry about rubbing issues, since im keeping the stock non-zsp shocks for now w/ 18x8 wheels and 235/40 tires. I was thinking the H&R at first, but the Eibach has larger contrast in front and back, and i was thinking 2 things, the larger ratio will give the car a more wedge shape (more aggressive) and also if i seat 2 adults in the back thats .2 more inches i have before any potential rubbing. But assuming neither will have rub, which will be the winner; aggressive-look-wise. Thanks!

you are comparing two apples. thats why you can't find out which one is better.
Reading all the reviews from sport/prokit owners, and seeing all the pics.. they are pretty much the same. Drop looks similar, and ride quality also seems to be very similar. wait for tein s-techs! start a group buy!!

The more agressive one is the H&R sport. Either one your not gonna rub with a carload of people unless your 18" rims have a crazy offset, you know sticking out alot.
Regardless, of the above, I had Eibachs before and they sagged overtime. I went with H&R's this time. Danny

yeah like what danny said. i had eibach pro kit and h&r race on my previous cars.
people say h&r is stiffer, but eibach sucks just as bad imo.

i had eibachs and koni's on my e34, and i really liked the set up. i didn't have any problems with sagging.
so i'm debating which to go for this time, eibach pro-kit, h&r sport, or tein s-tech (need more info). i'm currently leaning towards h&r since i've read quite a few good reviews from e90 owners.

I'm re-posting this from the other thread:
i've used eibach [PROKIT] on my prelude and did have the opportunity for h&r at the time. in those cars, a lot of my friends with h&r did "bounce" more. but that could also be that h&r tend to be lower. Eibach was great though in this car I'm going H&R for a more aggressive drop. Eibach [prokit] my handling improved a lot and it felt stock. Both are good companies. If you want more comfort, the eibach may do that, better handling, h&r. |

Check out this test of Eibach and H&R from tirerack
http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/t...bach_hr_rd.jsp As you can see they get the same score combined |

which do u guys think has less sagging if i were to use stock xi shocks.
also, i always thought that the H&R sport lowered the e90 more than the eibach pro-kit based on the specs. but in the review, they said it was the ebiach that lowered more in the front and back. while it wasnt an e90 in the review but a 1999 328i, does anyone know for sure which is lower on the e90?

1.3" / 1.2" --> H&R Sport Springs (part # 50490) looks like the h&r's will be a tiny bit lower.

from my past expericence, H&R wears out the stock shocks a lot faster. Eibach pro-kit is easier on the stock shock and a bit nicer ride.
H&R have a little better performance, but is suggusted to repalce aftermarket shocks and struts. Eibach works fine with stock struts and shocks, but of course replacing shocks and struts is always better. |

if this is true, that it does not wear the stock shocks as quickly as h&r, I would go h&r. The fact that it doesn't wear it out as much could be due to the fact that the h&r is more aggressive though, no?
