LOL last time they gave me my car back dirty. In the winter, I'm tempted to let them wash it.

I was going to give them all 1's, but my friend said I'd be blackballed and if I ever want to visit Deutschland I would be arrested at the border, so I ignored BMWNA's follow-up call.

Last time I did I regret it. They scratched my steering wheel. You can't see but you can feel the leather. They are going to make it right though. Never again.

It depends on what color car you have, whether or not you like washing your car and how fussy you are.

If you have a dark colored car and you hate swirl marks, I wouldn't let them wash it. Many of the detailing forums tell us not to even let the dealer prep the exterior of our new cars before delivery!

My strategy is to carefully wash my Black Sapphire E90 using good products and procedures, coupled with twice a year polishing with Zaino, coupled with professional detailing every year or two.

If I had an Alpine White car and the dealer's wash procedures seemed solid and I saw M5's and M6's running through it, I'd be tempted to let them wash it. But I'd check it out very carefully after I got it to determine if I'd do it again.

My experience through the years has been that my car is usually delivered to me dirtier after the service than before, including the exterior and the interior.

My car is silver so I can't see the scratches. But I can see all the dirt they leave. I learned the lesson and I'm never gonna get it washed at the dealership again.

My dealer does and for me it's not a problem. I'm not as anal as many on this board. The car is meant to be driven and eventually it will have scratches, swirls and chips. If it bothers me in 6 months I'll have it buffed and polished.

Thanks, Mike.

been discussed many times. If you want to have swirls on ur car, let them. I don't know how but they put in even more swirls than a local brush car wash.
I bought a chalk marker so I can write on my window "NO WASH" because three times I told them and they didn't listen.

Ever since my car left the dealership with me in the drivers seat, only i have detailed it, hopefully thats how itll stay. to my demise, and despite constant reminders, My CA somehow let a prep guy wipe down my car before i took delivery which left some marring. . sorry for the rant. lol but the answer is NO!!

Just had my alarm activated and I forgot to tell them not to wash it. I regret it. They did not wash it right and it is full of swirls.

save yourself a drive to the dealership and just take a Brillo pad to you're paint instead. You'll get the same results.
