Anyone else having problems with Whatsapp?

Wifey and I haven't been able to get Whatsapp desktop working for a couple of days now. Phone-to-phone works fine, but the desktop app in Mac or Windows won't open. Just the spinning circle. We've tried deleting and reinstalling and rescanning and all that. Still no luck. Was working fine before yesterday, but not since. Same issue at the office PCs and at home, so it's not a firewall thing.

Anyone else noticing this?

It's free, so "own" is a relative term. We use it because it's cross platform and allows Wifey to send messages from her Windows box to my iPhone.

Use it every day... Haven't got a chance to use the computer app, but the phone app has crashed out on me twice today... I don't think that's ever happened before...

I used to be a heavy WhatsApp user. Then switched to Line and never looked back.

Line is also cross platform and mobile. Plus you get to use awesome stickers.

Nope. Don't use stickers or emojis or any of that crap. Just want something that works with any device I happen to be using. I'll check out Line.

(Which is not the same as the checkout line.)

Oddly enough as I was about to download Line, Whatsapp started working again. Weird.

Yes. Much easier typing on a normal keyboard.

I use the web version everyday at work.
https://web.whatsapp.com

As long as your phone is still on the same wifi network as your computer it works great.

WhatsApp is a must for me for keeping in touch with family outside the US. Not everyone has international texting. Also when I travel to Europe and don't have a dataplan, I can send WhatsApp messages when I connect to Wifi. Roaming SMS usually adds up quickly when traveling aboard.

Now that I switched to T-Mobile, they much better roaming options, so it's less of an issue now. But I still prefer the web app over picking up my phone at work to check messages.

No luck with the Whatsapp web interface either . Code scans fine, but then I just get the spinning thing. Whatsapp on the phone says it's logged in to the web app, but the web app never shows anything. Same when I use the desktop app.

I'll try a complete uninstall/re-install again.

No, it doesn't work at home either. Nor at my wife's office. We have a mix of Macs and Windows boxes, too. Different anti-virus apps, so it's not that either. Just weird. The only thing we have in common is both our phones are on the same Verizon plan, but I can't believe Verizon just decided to start blocking it. Plus at the office and at home we use wifi.

It did come back and work for a while yesterday and last night.
